Spread cream cheese on all 8 slices of the bread. (The cream cheese makes a moisture barrier to protect the bread from getting soggy by the moistness of the cucumber.) 

Add cucumber slices to 4 pieces of bread, making sure the surface of the bread is completely covered.  Close each sandwich with the remaining slice of bread. 

Carefully remove the crusts from all 4 sandwiches.  Cut the sandwiches in half horizontally and vertically.  Cut each square into 2 triangular 'fairy' sandwiches for a total of 8 bites per full-size sandwich.

Serve at tea parties and other gatherings that fairies often attend.
